Race Location near Start/Finish Line
**You will be able to pick up another participant’s bib, however you will need to sign that you have received all items and are responsible for getting the items to the participant. If any items are lost or stolen, JEMS Racing will not be able to replace them unless a new race registration is paid for at the full price.
Changes can only be made in person at Packet Pick Up. We do not accept any changes via email.
Downgrades – You can downgrade to any distance. There will NOT be any refunds.
Upgrades – You will need to pick up your current bib, go the the Solutions/Problems line and pay the upgrade fee – CASH ONLY. Upgrades will be available on a first-come first-served basis.
The Upgrade fees are: From 5k to 10k = $20; From 5k/10k to Half Marathon = $60.
The course will begin at Coyote Ranch in South San Jose and will follow the Coyote Creek Trail northbound for an out and back for all distances. The course is flat and suitable for runners and walkers of any level.
The event will be sanctioned by USA Track and Field. The courses will close on the following schedule: Half Marathon – 12:00 p.m., 10K – 11:00 a.m., and the 5K – 9:00 a.m. If you are still on the course after these times, we cannot guarantee course support at aid stations, official race time or a finisher’s medal.
Chip timing will be provided. Your timing chip will be attached to the back of your bib. Please do not remove it as your time will not be recorded. Please see the Results & Photos page for those items post event.
Aid Stations will be provided on the course, and at the start and finish area. For the 5k, there will be 1 on-course station; for the 10k, there will be 3 on-course stations, and for the Half Marthon there will be 8 on-course stations. All stations are approximately 2 miles apart and will be serving water. Gels and sports drink will be available on the course to the Half Marathon participants at the farthest aid station.
Parking will be available for free and on-site. Once on Coyote Ranch Road, follow the street until you see the white fence. Shortly after that you will turn left into the dirt parking lot. Please obey all traffic laws and volunteers on site.
Medical Aid will be available at the Start/Finish area. Each Aid Station on the course is supplied with a First Aid Kit. Should medical assistance be needed along the course, volunteers will be able to contact the Race Officials to obtain medical aid.
We like all animals, however due to safety regulations, there are no animals allowed on the course.
We love your kids, however due to safety regulations, we strongly discourage the use of strollers on the course. The course will be used in both directions, as well as open to the general public. If you must bring your child along, please make sure to stay in the back, regardless of your pace to insure the safety of all participants.
We love music, and do not ban MP3 Players and iPod such items, however, if you do chose to use these, please make sure the volume is at a level where you can hear your surroundings. It is your responsibility to be aware of your surroundings on the course.
Please be sure to check the weather leading up to race day. Be prepared for warm or cold weather. There will NOT be a gear check.
